About Me
Currently, I am pursuing a chemical engineering Ph.D. at UC Santa Barbara. With Prof. Todd Squires, I am researching flow through membranes, such as those for water desalination. I remain committed to my passion for science, aiming to cultivate new mentoring and research opportunities with students confronting instabilities, such as feelings of inadequacy or imposter syndrome.
In tandem to my research, I am eager to explore the political, economic, and social implications of public choice, climate change, and foreign policy. I am deeply grateful for honors such as the UC Chancellor’s Fellowship, Amgen Scholarship, and Carl Menger Fellowship with the Mercatus Center.
I navigated physics and chemical engineering degrees from Auburn University, despite being hesitant to attend college and coming from a rural upbringing. While at Auburn, I engaged with the community, tutoring students ranging from elementary to senior undergraduate levels. Additionally, I had the privilege of being an AU undergraduate research fellow, working two internships at The Boeing Company, serving both as a TA and supplementary lecturer, and researching machine learning applications for carbon capture at Caltech.
